 Arundo donax
A clump forming rhizomatous reed like perennial, variegated
and green forms available.
Height: Up to 4 metres
Hardiness: Very hardy should survive all but the worst
winters in this area
Propagation: Divide roots in late spring or root sections of
stem in water and then pot on in mid summer.
Notes: A very impressive plant particularly the variegated
variety, although clump forming does not appear to be too invasive, a good substitute for
bamboo in the smaller garden. |
